Madisonville, KY – The Hopkins County Humane Society board will hold elections for officers and new members at their meeting tonight. The Madisonville Messenger reports the board is looking to bring in three new members. Following the new member vote, the directors will choose officers. This will be the first time in ten years that the board has had a full officer roster. Directors also plan to discuss a new shelter and website development. The Hopkins County Humane Society came under fire last year after statistics showed they had a high euthanasia rate. Residents also reported poor conditions at the shelter.
