Highlights from the 42nd Annual First District High School Choral Festival
Hear a special presentation of The Carson Myre Charitable Foundation's Youth and Ensemble Music Performance Series. The first program in this new series features the 42nd Annual First District High School Choral Festival. This concert was recorded on September 17th, 2013 at the Marshall County High School Auditorium, and features singers from eight different schools in the District.
Murray State’s Dr. Bradley Almquist and Dr. Amy Aucoin conduct. Devonda Treece of Paducah Tilghman High School provides accompaniment. And special thanks to pianist Lucretia Jackson for providing accompaniment during rehearsals.
Choral Directors and participating schools include: Samantha Veal of Ballard Memorial High School, Mark Dycus of Calloway County High School, Sandy Hummel of Christian Fellowship High School, Rae-Anne McKendree of Graves County High School, Brant Veal of Marshall County High School, Michelle Ford of McCracken County High School, Elaine Mitchell of Murray High School, and Matthew Hinz of Paducah Tilghman High School.
