Paris, TN – The Henry County Board of Education has appointed a new interim director of schools to replace current interim director John Hinson. Student Management Administrator Dr. Stacy Byrd will take over Hinson's duties beginning tomorrow. She is expected to fill the position for next six months or until a permanent director is hired. Hinson has held the interim post for half a year, while the school board has worked to hire a candidate. Hinson is now an official applicant and can no longer hold the interim job. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports Byrd's familiarity with the school system will not disrupt its daily operations.
