Paris, TN – Henry County, Tennessee commissioners have voted to move forward in applying for an almost $2 million grant to rebuild the taxiway at the Henry County Airport. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports the taxiway is in poor condition with fist-sized cracks in it and is too close to the main runway to allow instrument landing approaches. The state Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division recommends the repair. If awarded the grant, the county is expected to pay 10 percent of the cost over the next two years.
