Hendricks is Hopkinsville's Next Mayor

Republican Carter Hendricks has won the race for Mayor of Hopkinsville against Democrat Joey Pendleton and Independent Walter Shamble with 57 percent of the vote.

Hendricks said he will follow a five-point plan to improve the city that he has been campaigning on for a year.

“So as I get started on day one I want to implement our customer service approach and then I want to implement and then beginning to try to implement those strategies that I think will begin to help us grow our population base, grow our jobs, and grow our economy in a way that provides a better quality of life for all,” Hendricks said.

Carter owns and operates Momentum Consulting which helps organizations and businesses improve their business models. He has served at the Christian County Chamber of Commerce in various roles since 2004.

Carter said he is honored the citizens of Hopkinsville chose him as mayor and said he is excited to step into the role.

A proud native of Murray, Kentucky, Allison grew up roaming the forests of western Kentucky and visiting national parks across the country. She graduated in 2014 from Murray State University where she studied Environmental Sustainability, Television Production, and Spanish. She loves meeting new people, questioning everything, and dancing through the sun and the rain. She hopes to make a positive impact in this world several endeavors at a time.
