A Henderson County Elementary School Principal on Administrative Leave after Arrest

The principal of a Henderson County school has been placed on administrative leave after she was arrested over the weekend for pointing a gun at her boyfriend.

According to the county sheriff's office, Cairo Elementary Principal Buffy House faces wanton endangerment charges.

House has since posted a $2,500 bond.

In a statement posted on Cairo Elementary's Facebook page, county schools superintendent Stanley said House will remain on leave as the investigation continues.
