Hearing Grants Coleman Recount
By Carrie Pond
Paducah, KY – A McCracken Circuit Court Judge granted Paducah Mayoral Candidate Robert Coleman's request for a recount during a hearing this afternoon. Judge Jeff Hines says Coleman will be financially responsible for the recount, which can begin as soon as he posts bond. Assistant County Attorney Mike Murphy is representing the McCracken County Board of Elections in the lawsuit. He says Judge Hines scheduled a trial to address Coleman's allegations of election law violations for December 30th and 31st. Coleman is contesting Mayor Bill Paxton's 48-vote win in the November 11th election.
