Hear the 2016 State of the Union Address, Tuesday at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, January 12, President Barack Obama will deliver his State of the Union address, starting at 8 p.m. central time. NPR will provide live anchored coverage of the President's speech as well as the Republican response from Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina. This will be the last State of the Union address of his presidency.

Audie Cornish will host, joined by White House Correspondent Scott Horsley, National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson and Senior Washington Editor Ron Elving. NPR's Sue Davis will report live from the House chamber, and White House Correspondent Tamara Keith will join from Iowa.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007.
