Madisonville, KY – The 17-year-old student who assaulted a classmate at Hopkins County Central High School last month will not be allowed to return to school. The Madisonville Messenger reports the student was found to violate the school's conduct code during an expulsion hearing yesterday, and will continue his education in an alternative setting. The juvenile admitted to the fourth-degree assault charge he received after the incident, and will serve an undisclosed amount of detention time. He will also pay restitution for the medical bills of the student he assaulted, who suffered multiple facial fractures during the incident.
