HCC goes to Frankfort

Hopkinsville, KY – Hopkinsville Community College heads to Frankfort today with over 130 students, faculty, staff and community leaders. The participants are showing their support of the KCTCS system. HCC director of marketing and communications Rena Young explains their message.

"At Hopkinsville Community College we had over a 16% from the previous Fall. So we're growing at record numbers and at that time our budgets had been cut, so we're serving more students with less funding. So we're just trying to build that awareness with our legislators."

HCC members are participating in legislative meetings and will be introduced to lawmakers. They represent one of 16 KCTCS schools advocating in Frankfort during this session.
