Gun Rights Activists Hold Rally In Frankfort
By John Walker and The Associated Press
A rally against stricter gun control measures at the Kentucky Capitol on Saturday drew hundreds of participants, many of them displaying firearms.
The Guns Across America rallies are being held in state capitols nationwide. Activists have promoted the rallies primarily via social media. They're being held days after President Barack Obama unveiled a sweeping package of gun-control proposals. Those attending the rally in Frankfort, which began at noon on Saturday, gave a special round of applause for "the ladies that are packin'." Tea party leader David Adams spoke to the crowd, saying the "government is out of control."
