Green Trial Day II

By Chad Lampe

Paducah, KY – The second day of former Fort Campbell soldier Steven Green's federal trial continues today in Paducah. Attorneys for the ex-101st Airborne Division private first class are questioning his former unit's commander. Col. Todd Ebel yesterday told the prosecutors he spoke with Green in December 2005 about losing fellow soldiers to enemy attacks. But Ebel said beyond frustration, Green didn't appear unfit to remain in the Army. Green has pleaded not guilty to more than a dozen charges, including sexual assault and four counts of murder, stemming from the March 2006 attack on a 14-year-old girl and her family.
