Graves County School Set to Close Receives Honor for Closing Achievement Gap

A Graves County school that’s set to close this summer due to low enrollment has been named a distinguished school for significantly closing the achievement gap between student groups.

Cuba Elementary was Kentucky’s category 2 school for the National Title I Association, but Graves County Schools plan to close it June 30^th and auction it off as surplus property.

Some Graves County residents have filed a lawsuit that the school board did not follow proper procedures.
