Murray, KY – A Calloway County grand jury has indicted a Murray man on a murder charge in the alleged stabbing death of 24-year-old Herbert Donald Scandell. The Paducah Sun reports 31-year-old Jason Workman is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Calloway Circuit Court. He was arrested two days before Christmas on a complicity to murder charge after police responded to a single vehicle wreck with injuries in a creek bed west of Murray. His wife, Kayla Workman, was apparently driving at high speed when the wreck occurred. She was critically injured. Officers found Scandell lifeless with multiple stab wounds in the back seat.
