Gov. Beshear Wants to Make Movies

By AP

Lexington, KY – Governor Steve Beshear is touting legislation that he hopes will result in more movies being made in Kentucky. The governor actually signed the legislation into law last month, but he will appear today at Lexington's Keeneland horse track for a ceremonial signing. Among other things, the legislation offers tax breaks to producers and crews that do work in the Commonwealth. Tax breaks on set construction, wardrobe, food and accommodations would be covered under the new law.
