Fulton’s Hillview Clinic is moving across the state line into South Fulton, Tennessee, as Parkway Regional Hospital prepares to close in March.

The clinic is associated with the hospital, but Fulton Mayor Elaine Forrester says that is changing due to Parkway’s closure.

“Of course, the patients can still be seen and have procedures done over at the clinic in South Fulton but it’s going to be connected with (Volunteer Community Hospital) in Martin, Tennessee,” she said.

The Paducah Sun reports that though the clinic is moving out of state, it will still accept Kentucky Medicaid patients.

Hillview has a family physician, nurse practitioner, internist and pediatrician. Local health professionals say there are no other clinics in Fulton.

Whitney grew up listening to Car Talk to and from her family’s beach vacation each year, but it wasn’t until a friend introduced her to This American Life that radio really grabbed her attention. She is a recent graduate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., where she studied journalism. When she’s not at WKMS, you can find her working on her backyard compost pile and garden, getting lost on her bicycle or crocheting one massive blanket.
