Department of the Army representatives are set to meet next month at Fort Campbell to discuss proposed budget cuts that could potentially reduce personnel there by 50 percent.

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce says the session will have time for public comment.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m., Jan. 20 at the Family Readiness Center inside Gate One.

The public is asked to enter at Gate One. It will have unrestricted access starting at 4 p.m. that day.

Whitney grew up listening to Car Talk to and from her family’s beach vacation each year, but it wasn’t until a friend introduced her to This American Life that radio really grabbed her attention. She is a recent graduate from Union University in Jackson, Tenn., where she studied journalism. When she’s not at WKMS, you can find her working on her backyard compost pile and garden, getting lost on her bicycle or crocheting one massive blanket.
