Fort Campbell, KY – The military announced new leadership Friday for Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division. Major General John F. Campbell was most recently the deputy director for regional operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Campbell replaces Major General Jeffrey Schloesser (SLOW-sher) as the fort's commanding general. Schloesser has run Fort Campbell since May 2006 but will now command U.S. forces in Eastern Afghanistan.
