Former NASA Training Specialist To Speak At Murray State Ahead Of Total Solar Eclipse

  A former NASA development and training specialist and Murray State alumna is speaking at MSU ahead of the August 21 total solar eclipse.

Sue Darnell Ellis has won two national awards for teaching science. According to a release, NASA chose Ellis to reform their education programs in the 1980’s and was selected in 1985 as Kentucky’s Teacher in Space Ambassador.

 

Her speech is titled “Creating Tomorrows by Dreaming Today.” She speaks at Murray State on August 17.

 

Ellis began as a math and science teacher in Marshall County and Paducah. She currently serves on the Bluegrass Mental Health Board.

 

Taylor is a recent Murray State University graduate where she studied journalism and history. When she's not reporting for WKMS, she enjoys creative writing and traveling.
