Former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is returning to work at Stites & Harbison law firm.

Beshear supervised the law firm’s Lexington office from 1987 until taking office as governor in 2007. The firm says the former governor will serve clients throughout the region and in Washington, D.C. Beshear previously handled complex business and bankruptcy litigation for the firm’s clients.

The two term governor was succeeded by Matt Bevin in December. His son, Andy Beshear, also worked at Stites & Harbison before taking office as Kentucky Attorney General this year.

Stites & Harbison has 10 offices across the southeast.
