A former Christian County sheriff’s deputy faces charges of theft. Kentucky State Police arrested Steve Tucker on Friday following a two month investigation of a complaint from the Christian County Juvenile Services Foundation.The non-profit works closely with juveniles who are criminally charged with drug offenses. Tucker served as the president of the foundation.
Evidence presented to a Christian County Grand Jury returned an indictment for theft by unlawful taking over $10,000, a class C felony after an investigation determined that Tucker stole in excess of $55,000 over a seven year period.
Tucker resigned from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office last November.
Tucker turned himself in to Troopers at the Christian County Jail at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
Kentucky State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
