The filing deadline for independents on the general election ballot in November is next week.
Candidates and other political organizations seeking certain offices - including circuit and district judge seats - must file by 4 p.m. on August 9.
Groups must have filed a statement of candidacy form by April 1 to be qualified.
Public drawings for ballot positions will be held August 11.
This deadline does not apply to candidates for President and Vice President.
