Guthrie, KY – A 77-year-old Guthrie man has died a victim of what police say is a DUI hit and run yesterday. Police have charged 46-year-old David Warfield with his second DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license. Warfield was allegedly under the influence when he hit a farm tractor driven by Samuel Swarey, who was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and later died. The investigation is still underway and the Kentucky State Police expect Warfield will face additional charges.
