Paducah, KY – Paducah city officials are expected to vote in favor Tuesday of purchasing the Executive Inn from owner Bhupinder Singh. The special meeting will focus solely on approving the transfer from Singh and Logan Equity to the City of Paducah. The city will pay 1-point-8 million dollars for the hotel. Another expected 1-point-8 million will go towards other expenses, including paying off liens and possibly demolishing the building. Julian Carroll Convention Center Board Chairman Jim Sigler thinks the transfer will stabilize the situation with the hotel and increase security. The Paducah City Commission will have a second reading of the ordinance to purchase the Executive Inn December 22. Closing on the transaction is December 23.
