Executive Inn Sale Expected Today
By Todd Hatton
Murray, KY – Paducah Mayor Bill Paxton says the long-awaited signing of an agreement for Executive Inn owner Bhupinder Singh to sell the hotel is expected today. Paxton says considerable progress in finalizing the details of the sale was made in two meetings between city officials, Singh, and hotel developer Bill Parsons yesterday and Tuesday. The Paducah Sun reports the Paducah McCracken County Convention Corporation board yesterday approved a commitment to transfer leases for the Julian Carroll Convention Center and Paducah Expo Center to Parsons if the sale is finalized by October 15th. The board also says it will withdraw its September 15th notice that the leases be revoked because of the hotel's and convention center's closure for non-payment of utilities. (Paducah Sun)
