A Louisville court interpreter has been appointed Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Workplace Standards.
Ervin Dimeny took office last week.
He’ll oversee the agency responsible for enforcing the commonwealth’s labor laws. Dimeny formerly served as manager of Court Interpreting Services for Kentucky’s Administrative Office of the Court.
Dimeny received his bachelor’s degree from the Hungarian Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master’s of Divinity in Theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.
