Murray, KY – Ricochet's Fun Center opens in the Goody's space soon and Peebles Department Store officials have announced they will take over the old Dawahares location. Murray-Calloway County Development Director Mark Manning says it's not surprising these facilities are getting taken over so quickly. He says even though their corporations were going under, the local Goody's and Dawahares were still pretty healthy.
"So that creates a gap and there are people who were spending money in Goody's and Dawahares who now don't have those outlets anymore."
Murray Chamber of Commerce officials say other retailers have also expressed interest in moving to the area, but won't disclose any names yet.
