Earliest Afternoon Arrival and Departure Times at Barkley Regional Move Back 4 Hours

Barkley Regional Airport

Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah has moved its earliest daily afternoon arrival and departure times to and from Chicago back four hours.

Director of Marketing Eddie Grant said the change of arrivals from 6:00 p.m. to 2:08 p.m. will allow for earlier connections and possibly fewer cancellations.

“Before the change, anyone who was looking to get anywhere beyond Chicago was probably was unable to get there before midnight local time, whether it was New York, California or Florida,” Grant said. “With this 2:30 departure time from Paducah, even if the flights delayed you’ll still get the earlier bank of connections, which means you can get to any of those same cities at about 9:00 p.m.-- if not sooner-- local time.”

Barkley Regional’s commercial flights connect to the Chicago O’Hare airport through United Express. The new earliest daily afternoon departure time is 2:38 p.m.

Grant said he was told by United Airlines that the flights will stay at these times for the foreseeable future.
