Cadiz, KY – The defense attorney for convicted triple murderer Kevin Dunlap has filed for a new trial. James Gibson says Trigg County Circuit Judge C.A. Woodall should not have ignored Gibson's motion to recuse himself. Woodall had previously presided over Kristy Frensley's divorce proceedings. Gibson tells the Cadiz Record Woodall also erred in denying Dunlap's plea of guilty but mentally ill. A Livingston County Circuit judge will rule on the motion March 19th.
