Dunlap Attorney File to Suppress Information

By Angela Hatton

Smithland, KY – Defense attorneys in a Roaring Spring, Kentucky, triple-murder case have filed motions to suppress evidence and testimony. A February trial in Livingston County Circuit Court is set for Kevin Dunlap, who allegedly killed three children and raped their mother in October 2008. He also faces arson charges for burning down the home with the family inside. Livingston Circuit Judge Woody Woodall will hear arguments on four motions this Friday that would include preventing the mother, Kristy Frensley from identifying Dunlap in open court. The Paducah Sun reports defense attorneys are asking the death penalty not be considered. They also ask that evidence collected from Dunlap's car be inadmissible because they claim the search was improper.
