Discovery Park of America Welcomes 400,000 Visitors

Discovery Park of America

A year and a half after opening, more than 400,000 people have visited the Discovery Park of America.

The Union City attraction had nearly 300,000 visitors in its first year. The park offers a blend of science, history, and art to its rural surroundings. CEO Jim Rippy says 98% of visitor comments are favorable.  Officials hope to reach 500,000 visitors by late summer.

A proud native of Murray, Kentucky, Allison grew up roaming the forests of western Kentucky and visiting national parks across the country. She graduated in 2014 from Murray State University where she studied Environmental Sustainability, Television Production, and Spanish. She loves meeting new people, questioning everything, and dancing through the sun and the rain. She hopes to make a positive impact in this world several endeavors at a time.
