Murray, KY – A recent census taken of the Diocese of Owensboro shows that 50,094 Roman Catholics live and practice in western Kentucky. Sister Joseph Angela Boone with the diocese says the numbers are down over 1,000 from last year. The 32-county diocese is submitting the new numbers in an official report for the 2010 edition of the Kennedy Directory.
