Datebook: September 9 - Junior STEAM Club, Senior Life Fair, Tennessee 1812

West Kentucky Community and Technical College invites kids ages 9 to 13 to participate in an eight-week program teaching basic coding and computer programming. The Junior STEAM Innovative Club meets selected Thursdays at 4 beginning tomorrow. The club is limited to the first twenty students who sign up. To register, call (270) 534-3335. 

Brookdale Murray hosts a Senior Optimum Life Fair tomorrow from 11 to 2. The free fair gives seniors an opportunity to learn about navigating life, planning ahead, having fun, and staying active. Vendors and health care professionals who work specifically with seniors are in attendance. For more information, call (270) 759-1555.

The Paris-Henry County Heritage Center hosts “Becoming the Volunteer State: Tennessee in the War of 1812.” The Tennessee State Museum Traveling Exhibit remains on display at the Heritage Center through Saturday. Admission and parking are free.
