Datebook: September 30 - Salad Spectacular, Landscape Painting, Make A Difference

The Friends of the Rhea Library in Paris hold a Salad Spectacular Lunch Friday from 11 to 1:30 at Grace Episcopal Church. Dine-in and takeout options are available. Purchase tickets at the Rhea Public Library and other local businesses. Proceeds benefit the library. 

The Yeiser Art Center in Paducah holds a youth landscape painting class three Saturdays in October, starting this Saturday from 10 to 11:30. Students ages 10 to 13 learn to mix and blend colors and use a variety of brushes. Reserve a space at (270) 442-2453 or theyeiser.org.

The 103rd Make A Difference Day is Saturday from 9 to 1 at Roy Stewart Stadium on the campus of Murray State University. Items collected include paper, cardboard, eyeglasses, aluminum cans, cell phones, ink jet cartridges, clothes, shoes, prescription drugs, plastic, glass, used motor oil, books, sports gear and equipment, wheelchairs, walkers, and televisions.
