Datebook: September 26 - Racer 5K Run, Arts Round the Square, Banned Book Week

he inaugural Racer 5K Run is tomorrow morning at 8. The race starts from the front of the Susan E. Bauernfeind Student Recreation & Wellness Center and concludes on the track at Roy Stewart Stadium. Race day registration is available with a discount offered for a donation of five canned goods. For more information, call (270) 809-5435. 

Downtown Paris hosts Arts Round the Square tomorrow from 9 to 4. The event features the work of photographers, potters, painters, basket weavers, wood workers, jewelry makers, and more. There is live music all day and a Kids Zone. Admission is free.

The Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library concludes its Banned Book Week celebration tonight with a screening of the film adaptation of “The Hunger Games.” The movie starts at 6. Popcorn and soda provided.
