In honor of Constitution Day, there's a lecture tonight at Murray State University titled "Reserved to the States: The Tenth Amendment and State Rights in American History." and is sponsored by the department of political science and sociology and the department of history.
The Gourd Patch Arts Festival is this Saturday in Mayfield. The event is located in and around the Ice House Gallery and behind Regions Bank. In addition to the national gourd art exhibition, the celebration includes gourd vendors, artists and crafters, activities for children, a gourd race car derby and entertainment.
