Datebook: September 14 - Irish Poet Documentary, Gas Engine & Tractor Show, Foster Care Review

There’s a screening of "Your Rivers Have Trained You," a documentary about the life and work of Irish poet and essayist Eamonn Wall, this Wednesday night at 7 in Faculty Hall room 208. The poet is present for a question and answer session after the film. The event is free and open to the public. 

The Lone Oak Lions Club hosts the 38th Annual Antique Gas Engine & Tractor Show this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Carson Park Fairgrounds in Paducah. The event features gas engines, antique cars, antique tractors, a flea market, arts and crafts, a garden tractor pull, pony rides, a petting zoo, and more. Proceeds from ticket sales go to charity.

Citizen Foster Care Review Boards are seeking volunteers to review cases of children placed in foster care to help them find safe, permanent homes. There’s a training this Friday in Elizabethtown. For more information, visit courts.ky.gov.
