Datebook: September 12 - Go Global, Banned Books, Charity Golf

Stacie Berdan, an international careers expert, global executive, and author, presents "Go Global" on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Presentations are at 11 a.m. at the Clemens Fine Arts Center and 7 p.m. at Crounse Hall 101. It’s open to students, teachers, parents, counselors, and business and community leaders. 

In honor of Banned Books Week, Graves County Public Library is holding a Banned Bookmark Battle. The library invites artists of all ages to submit artwork celebrating the freedom to read. To enter, create a 5x7” work of art that is in some way inspired by a banned book and submit it to the library by September 17.

There’s a Need Line Charity Golf Tournament next Friday at the Murray Golf Course. The format is a four person scramble. Sponsorships are also available for businesses. For more information, contact Need Line at (270) 753-6333.
