Datebook: September 11 - Ink Makes Noise, Cycling Challenge, Outdoor Yoga

Ink Makes Noise is a live performance art collaboration between Paul Lorenz and Todd Birdsong, to be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah. During the action and audio based performance, Birdsong records and amplifies the sound of painting made by Lorenz's brushes and ink on rice paper. The event is free and open to the public. The 10th annual Pennyrile Area Cyclists Challenge is tomorrow morning beginning at Madisonville Community College. The bike tour includes 22, 41, and 62 mile routes through the hills of Hopkins and Webster counties. Registration opens at 7, and the ride begins at 8. Proceeds go to the organization’s “Christmas Bikes” program.

Stacey Faulkner of Twisted Peace Yoga and Wellness teaches a free outdoor yoga class tomorrow morning at 8:30 in the Murray State University quad, weather permitting. Bring one nonperishable food item for Need Line and a yoga mat, blanket, or towel.
