Datebook: October 20 - Fun Drum, Two Pianos, Shred Day

The Hopkinsville Drum Circle holds a Fun Drum this Saturday evening at 6 at Riverfront Park in Hopkinsville. Everyone’s invited to bring your own drums, percussion instruments, chairs, and soft drinks for an evening of drumming. 

Matthew Gianforte and Meeyoun Park, pianists and assistant professors at Murray State University, present a recital tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Murray State University Performing Arts Hall. The program includes works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Debussy, and Earl Wild, then concludes with Rachmaninoff's Suite No. 2 for Two Pianos. The recital is free and open to the public.

The Christian County Public Works Complex hosts a Shred Day this Friday from 10 to 1. The event allows Christian County residents, businesses, and organizations to shred up to 100 lbs of documents for free. For more information, call (270) 890-0215.
