Datebook: November 9 - Printmaking Lecture, Warming Center Volunteers, Digital Photography Class

Lari Gibbons is a Visiting Artist in Printmaking for the MSU Department of Art & Design. She gives a public lecture about her work tomorrow evening at 5 in room 631 of the Doyle Fine Arts Building at Murray State University. The lecture is free and open to the public. 

The Warming Center in Paducah hosts volunteer training tomorrow night at 6 at the Community Ministries building. The Warming Center offers overnight relief to individuals needing a warm, safe place to stay during the winter months when temperatures become life-threatening. Volunteers work in teams of two to cover three shifts each night the center is open.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College offers a five-week intermediate digital photography class beginning tomorrow night. The class meets in the Emerging Technology Center, Room 112, from 6-8:30 p.m. each Tuesday night. An understanding of basic terminology and camera operations is helpful for the course, and cameras must not be point-and-shoot.

Kala Dunn is a native of Princeton, Ky. She’s a 2006 graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy with a concentration in flute performance and a 2010 graduate of Murray State University with a B.M. in piano performance. She lives in Hamlin, Ky.
