Datebook: November 4 - Lung Cancer Vigil, Journey Stories, Fall Nature Festival

Baptist Health Paducah offers “Shine a Light on Lung Cancer,” a vigil to remember those who are struggling with lung cancer and those who have lost their lives to the disease. Speakers include cardiothoracic surgeon Nicholas Lopez. The vigil is tomorrow evening at 5 in the Larry Barton Atrium at Baptist Health Paducah.

The McCracken County Public Library hosts “Journey Stories: Celebrating the Rich Cultural Heritage of Between the Rivers” tomorrow night at 7. Constance Alexander conducted oral history interviews with former residents of Between the Rivers communities, and the presentation celebrates their cultural heritage and focuses on the challenges they overcame. The presentation is free and open to the public.

The Nature Station at Land Between the Lakes celebrates the fall season with a Fall Festival this Saturday from 10 to 4. Activities include hayrides, a puppet show, live music, visits with Smokey Bear, a nature hike, crafts, and more.
