Datebook: November 4 - Laboring-Class Poetry, Using Telescopes, Disney Princess Party

The Murray State University Department of History holds a History Research Forum this Thursday afternoon at 4. Kevin Binfield, professor of English, speaks on "Laboring-Class Poetry in Nineteenth-Century Britain." The event is open to the public. For more information or directions, call (270) 809-6571. 

The Golden Pond Planetarium and West Kentucky Amateur Astronomers present "Choosing and Using Binoculars and Telescopes" on Saturday at Land Between the Lakes Golden Pond Visitor Center following the 5:30 p.m. planetarium show. The free program introduces various binoculars and telescopes and teaches the basic skills required to use them. More at landbetweenthelakes.us.

This Marshall County High School Choral Department holds a Disney Princess Party fundraiser on November 15th at the Children's Art Center in Benton. Showtimes are 10 to noon and 2 to 4. Tickets can be purchased at the MCHS front office. Proceeds go toward the choir's spring trip to Disney World.
