Datebook: November 17 - Curtains!, Homelessness Awareness, Dashing Through the Snow

The Murray State University Department of Theatre presents "Curtains!" When the supremely untalented star of a musical production is murdered during her opening night curtain call, it is up to a police detective moonlighting as a musical theater fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens without getting killed himself. Shows are this Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30 in Johnson Theatre.

The Gentry House is an emergency transitional homeless shelter in Murray dedicated to helping families with children by providing a rent- and utility-free place to stay. During Homelessness Awareness Week, the Gentry House seeks donations to further its mission. For more information or to donate, visit gentryhouse.org.

The Dashing Through the Snow 5K and Fun Run is this Saturday night at Mike Miller Park in Benton. Registration starts at 4:30, with the fun run at 5:30 and the 5K at 6:15. Proceeds benefit the Marshall County Exceptional Center.
