Datebook: November 16 - ROOTS 6 Concert, Piano Ensemble, 'Skull Fragments' Reading

The Murray State University departments of history and student affairs present the 6th Annual ROOTS Music Concert tomorrow night at 7:30 in Lovett Auditorium. The concert features world music and gypsy jazz by the Gypsy Hombres, contemporary bluegrass by the Vickie Vaughn Band, and eclectic music from Emily Duff and Friends. Admission is free, with canned good donations for Need Line accepted. Doors open at 7. 

The University of Tennessee at Martin Piano Ensemble presents a program tomorrow night at 7:30 in Blankenship Recital Hall in the UTM Fine Arts building. The program includes works by Debussy, Mozart, Bizet, and more. The event is free and open to the public.

Author Tim L. Williams reads from his new collection of short stories titled “Skull Fragments” this Thursday night at 6 in the Loman C. Trover Library at Madisonville Community College. His stories have appeared twice in the Best American Mystery series and he won a 2012 Thriller Award from the International Thriller Writers. Admission is free.
