Datebook: Milli Vanilli Stripped of Grammy 22 Years Ago
It all came to an end for Milli Vanilli on this day in 1990: stripped of their "Best New Artist" Grammy for lip-syncing the hit, "Girl You Know It's True." During an MTV concert, the backing track hit a snag and began repeating "girl you know it's true" over and over. Four days later, Grammy no more. I guess it wasn't true after all.
