Datebook: May 27 - Dog Obedience Class, Spokes for Strokes, Zumba Fitness

The Humane Society of Calloway County's Canine Good Citizen Dog Obedience Class and S.T.A.R. Puppy Kindergarten are now accepting registration. Both sessions help dogs become well-behaved companions at home and in the community. Classes begin Thursday, June 11, at 6 p.m. at the Carman Animal Health Building in Murray. Baptist Health Paducah hosts the fourth Spokes for Strokes bike tour on Saturday, June 6, to raise stroke awareness as well as funds for life-saving technologies and expanded stroke care services. Event day registration is held at 7 a.m. at the Baptist Health Imaging Center, and the tour begins at 8 a.m. Ride distance options include 10, 35, or 65 miles.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College offers a 12-week Zumba class beginning June 1. The dance fitness program meets every Monday from 4:45-5:45 p.m. in Haws Gymnasium. To register, call (270) 534-3335.
