The Davie-Brown Index gives Pac-Man the highest brand awareness of any video game character. He began chomping pac-dots and chasing ghosts on this day in 1980, released in Japan by Namco. A social phenomenon, Twin Galaxies estimates Pac-Man's earnings at 10 billion quarters, making it one of the highest-grossing games of all time.

In observance of Older Americans Month, the Christian County Senior Citizens Center hosts senior games Friday morning at 9. The center is located at 1402 West 7th Street in Hopkinsville. For more information, contact Vicki Karrigan at (270) 886-8885.

The Ballard County Wheels and Wings bike ride, originally scheduled for May 4, has been postponed to Saturday. The event features 15-, 30-, 60-, and 100-mile routes.
