Composer Joel Hoffman visits the Murray State University department of music tomorrow. There’s a concert tomorrow night at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Hall featuring works by Hoffman as performed by Murray State University professors Tana Field and Matthew Gianforte as well as by the composer himself. Admission is free and open to the public.
The annual University of Tennessee at Martin Visual Art faculty show opens tomorrow at the UTM Fine Arts Building Gallery. The show features paintings as well as works in ceramics, fibers, glass, mixed media, and more. There’s a reception from 5 to 6:30. The exhibit remains on display through April 11.
The 30th Annual Tater Trot 5K and 1-Mile Run are this Saturday at 9 a.m. at Mike Miller Park in Benton. The race helps kick off events for the weekend’s Tater Day celebration. For more information or a registration form, contact Chris Kerrick at (270) 527-1453.
