Datebook: March 25 - Vaffeldagen (Waffle Day)
"Vaffeldagen," a great day to eat waffles in Sweden! It's also "Our Lady's Day," the Christian holiday traditionally known as the Feast of the Annunciation. In Swedish this is called "Warfrudagen," which in vernacular sounds like Vaffeldagen, hence the dual celebration. Pass the syrup!

The Calloway County Public Library hosts an Easter Egg Hunt and picnic Wednesday morning at 10:30. Children of all ages are invited to bring their Easter baskets and a blanket to enjoy a morning of egg hunting followed by a picnic lunch. The free event takes place rain or shine.
Work by Artists-In-Residence at the Appalachian Center for Craft is now on display at the Janice Mason Art Museum in Cadiz. The exhibit features both functional and aesthetic works of traditional and contemporary fine craft. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 4 and on Sunday from 1 to 4.
The Murray Human Rights Commission presents free screenings of the 2011 documentary “Bully” at Cheri Theaters of Murray tomorrow at 4:30 and 7. Admission is free, but you must have a ticket available at the City Hall Customer Service Counter.
